Santiago de Cuba, Cuba

A place that doesn’t seem to belong to the rest of Cuba, we could say is a piece of Africa in the island. Sure is one of the poorest cities in Cuba, but is also a city with rhythm and with the best parties.

Close to the Serra Maestra were Fidel Castro and Che Guevara started the revolution that would expand to the rest of the country like flowers after the winter.

In the Plaza da Revolution,  we could see a stone statue the Cuban hero Antonio Maceo Gracales, surrounded by 23 iron machetes piercing the sky, showing the power and heroism of cuban people.
