Next to the
river Couesnon, between Normandy and Bretagne, we can find this huge monument,
in a rocky island surrounded by a beautiful bay, and only connected by a road
the continent.
It became a
symbol of the French national identity, because this fortress resisted to all
the attempts of conquer by the English army.
When the
tide is low, the bravest try to walk in the muddy surroundings of the fortress,
but watch out! Don’t park your car for too long or it will be floating when the
tide rises again.
